The digitization is a joint-effort by the Library Technical Service of McGill and the JGH Archives. The availability of the electronic version makes it possible to view the content of the hospital’s old annual reports as easy as a click of the mouse. The series provides an opportunity for readers to discover how the hospital strove to provide essential medical services during the Great Depression and the war years when the global economy collapsed and resources became very scarce. In addition, a comprehensive list of donors is included in each report, making the whole collection a lasting tribute to the founders and early contributors to the hospital.
